On January 21st, 2006, Garden
of Innocents’ founder, Rebeca Navarro-McKelvey, was awarded the ESA DIANA
Award. ESA is a philanthropic women’s association whose goal is to provide
support to St. Jude’s Hospital and its mission of providing low cost and
free care to children suffering from cancer. ESA also recognizes local
charities and their female founders for their humanitarian achievement. This
year Garden of Innocents was chosen as the award recipient among other
worthy charities. The award also included a generous cash award for the
Garden.
